I rode the commutocross in to work today for the first time in a week and a half. Last week, we had 7-10" of snow here and it's been pretty cold since then. Today it got into the 50's and was sunny (but it's usually sunny here).
On the way home, I rode one of the dirt trails I usually ride, but this was my first time riding a trail on this bike when it was snow/slush packed. It was an awesome workout and a great exercise in bike handling. The surfaces varied so much between mud, water, slush, packed snow and ice. It required constant concentration just to keep upright, but it was a blast. I am beat, I want to do it again, and I think I need fenders.
