Anyone know of a good place to live stream the Giro in the US for free? I looked around, but can’t seem to find one.

Unless you're typing from the future, it doesn't start for another 3 hours. (16:50 CET, 10:50 EST)

Flo needs to work on the TVOS app navigation - kinda a mess. iOS app MUCH mobetter. Tried the Eurosport via VPN route but is a PITA. FloSports cycling (partnership with Eurosport) is more limiting but finally a “no hoops” way to cycling content. :thumbs up:

Is flobikes $12.50 or $30 per month? Saw on cycling news $30, on flowbikes website it says $12.50

Depends how long you sign up for ... $30/mo-by-mo or $12.50/mo when amortized over 12 mos - in short paying for 1 year up front.

I signed up this morning for the monthly $30.

So far the broadcast is very poor quality though. Tried the IOS app first. Really choppy quality with the buffering circle constantly in the middle. Logged out and trying through Chrome on the laptop. Has been choppy as well. Just saw an error message about technical issues with broadcast. If this continues I will ask for a refund. Last year had no issues with Fubo.

Is very choppy. Did iOS first as well, then switched to media server connected to Gigabit ethernet and no difference.

The best online "FREE" streaming site is:

Hum, thanks for the feedback. Surely not going to pay $30/month for crappy video.

How is the FuboTV stream quality?

FloSports has been providing very good coverage of races this year. They've expanded the number of races covered and commentators are knowledgeable. I'm happy there is a legit site for viewing races. Also they offer a smart-tv app. Of course there is always Tiz.

Eurosport is going full-on this year, with Wiggins, Brian Smith and Si Richardson in studio before, during and after the stages. Rob Hatch and Sean Kelly calling the UK feed that I pay for.

Eurosport Player + VPN has been working great, as usual.

Odd how piracy is promoted here.

I was charged $150 without notice when I tried to sign up for Flobikes for $12.50/month. I am noy happy. I cancelled subscription immediately and it is still charging me for 1 year of service. I have requested a rebate.

I’m in the US, I love the Giro, by far the best race on the calendar every year in my opinion.
However, the Italians have never figured out the tech side on a global scale of how to promote the event and easily make it accessible.
FLOSports, FUBAtv, the POS Giro site/app? All suck.

I can watch tons of obscure but entertaining races all year on my tv, the Giro is stuck in the 1990s.

You said you tried to get the 1-year subscription; and $150 is simply 12x12.50. They charged you for the plan you wanted. How is this "without notice"?

not sure about FloSport, but my Eurosport feed most certainly doesn't have a watermark

blame the people who purchased the U.S. broadcast rights, not RAI. RAI does a great job

Is odd since January announcement was ... but FuboTV is the feed:

AUSTIN, Texas — January 29, 2019 — Today, FloSports, the innovator in live digital sports and original content, announced a partnership with Eurosport to provide live and on-demand coverage of more than 40 pro cycling events in 2019, including five World Tour events, on FloBikes.com.

it seems that FloSports "sub-leased" the U.S. video transmission rights from Fubo and the audio commentary rights from Eurosports, which is why you probably heard Sean Kelly on FloSports.

Not sure what they'll have going for them, but I would think that the rate they get from Fubo is less expensive than the rate for the entirety of the U.S.; they also don't have to hire commentators of their own. Fubo gets to generate some revenue, though it's likely that people would prefer ES commentary to whatever Fubo has; therefore, long term viability of this isn't a sure thing. But at least for the duration of their current contract, it would appear to work

Stage 16 today . . . ACK! Is there anyplace where these are viewable after stage completion? No recording options for me. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me..I think when I opted for 'pro' deal...no big deal, canceled NBCGold..better coverage..

The Mortirolo is a beast. Not the prettiest climb (that's the Stelvio), not the most iconic (that's the Ventoux) but definitely one of the hardest in Europe and definitely the hardest these feet have pedaled.

Over the top just now..lousy weather, clouds, rain, really crappy but great coverage..
