I picked this up from the original owner when I was in the queue to have a custom Thrive CX bike made by darrel. Despite my best efforts to make it fit, I just can't make this one work and have barely touched it since my Lobster arrived.

Darrel stopped taking orders in late 2017, which is a real shame because his bikes are simple and beautiful with some of the nicest looking brazing I've ever seen.

I'd like to sell as F/F/HS but open to selling with other parts of the build kit.

update: $SOLD

Specs:
54.7 ETT
140 HT
Super clean Di2 internal routing
Tubeset is mix of True Temper Ox Platinum
Paragon 44m Head Tube.
Paragon Stainless hooded dropouts
Clears 28c's with ease
Chris King Headset
Thomson Seatpost Clamp

Color is really dark Jungle Green (think Land Rover). A few normal nicks and scrapes.

Currently built up with Di2 6870 group, Zipp cockpit. I'd like to keep the Di2 group for another project but open to offers on the whole bike or partial builds.

Love my Thrive, and I agree - he does some of the most meticulous fillet brazing I've ever seen, as well. Anybody looking should check out some of that work on his Flickr (https://www.flickr.com/photos/99879310@N02/).

Here's the album for this frame:

I absolutely love the 105 rings on Ultegra crankset.

Very cool bike. Going for a similar paintjob on my ti soon.
Are 105 rings comparable to ultegra (forged?) If so, that's what I should be buying next time. Weight difference must be minimal.
GLWS!

Just updated the original post with the geo.

STA 73
HTA 72.5
bb drop 75
CS 418

I absolutely love the 105 rings on Ultegra crankset.

Thanks. I bet you love the mismatched wheels too. Rear is an old Powertap if you must know.

Comparable? The go just as fast and shift the same. 105's have some kind of composite (i.e. plastic) reinforcement on the inside instead of being hollow aluminum layers bonded together like Ultegra. Aesthetics are a matter of personal opinion (see above).

Lots of useful information about the difference between Ultegra 6800 and 105 5800 cranks and rings here:

Dang, these are gorgeous! I'd almost want my bike raw just to show off the brazing.

Darrel did essentially this on a SS 29+ bike he just built for himself. Apparently it's "blackened steel" (I had to google it) not technically raw finish. In any case it's way cool.

The Flickr album says "Doug." That should narrow it down to a few thousand people.

Is this not outfitted for mechanical groups?

Correct, this frameset is not outfitted for mechanical. Di2, EPS, or of course eTap.

Bump. Willing to entertain offers, especially if they are written in haiku. Stripping down this weekend so it'll be ready to ship Monday.

A lot of interest but the electric-shifting-only bit seems to be a bit of a hang-up for many. I had planned on keeping the di2 kit for another build but open to selling it with all the shifty bits if it makes it simpler. Just add wheels and contact points and fifteen pieces of flair and you're good to go. Di2 is great BTW.

$1075 net for Frame/Fork/Headset plus Di2 Ultegra 6870 11 speed mini group: includes R/L shifters, front derailleur, rear derailleur, battery (internal), junctions & wires.

+$75 if you want the crankset/bb too (Ultegra 6800, 170mm with 105 36/52 rings)

I have an assortment o Zipp and Fizik stems, seatposts and handlebars that in various sizes. We can figure out $ details if interested.

The di2 group shifts flawlessly but it is used and doesn't look flawless...some scratches here and there and the lock tab on the Junction A is busted so it slides off the mounting plate more easily than it should.

Bump and a big price drop to $600 for f/f/hs. Going out of town on Friday and would love to get it gone before then.

Some one got a hell of a deal. His iambic pentameter must've been stellar...
