I saw this guy at a show in Austin recently. Great showman with a fat horn section. Had everyone on the floor in minutes.

For a white British dude, the guy can crank out the soul. He has Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke written all over 'em.

If you have a chance to catch a show, definitely check it out.

...regular in my rotation...lots of soul (for a white guy, and a Brit nonetheless!)

Tickets are $25, plus $10 food/drink minimum. Sounds like a bargain.

We saw him at a festival this summer; great show, but he seemed under time constraints, so it will be interesting to see him as a headliner, with a little room to stretch out.

In the sixties, it took the British invasion to resurrect forgotton Chicago & delta blues masters; forty years later, along comes another Britt mining the R&B vein. Go figure.
