In my case, I deleted my post. But you can't submit a blank post. So, I added the bare minimum. I'm guessing that's Manet's story too.

i have wondered the same thing myself. to continue the excellence of ignorance, i will give two thoughts as to what it means. 1) i notice that every thread(or it seems like every thread) with just a period has been edited. i wonder if they wrote something and removed it. 2) a very subtle +1.

OK, now this thread is reminding me of a supposed correspondence between Victor Hugo and his publisher regarding the sales and acceptance of Les Miserables...

Victor Hugo's letter: ?

Publisher's response: !

deleted post, or meeting the text requirement (one character) if you just wanna post a pic. I usually do the added step of making it white

I see a lot of people posting invisible messages like Too Tall just did. I always assumed the period was to let the general population think there was nothing else to look at.... And draw attention away from the areas that need to be highlighted in order to be read.

Or to get by the moderators.

you're missing the obvious: it's a subtle "bump" to move the thread back to the top of the list.

but i could be dead a$$ wrong :-)

I suspect that is partially correct......I think that they are probably lesbians trapped in men's bodies....Swoop could probably weigh in on this.....
