Been riding the last few rides on 32 mm tires inflated to 65 PSI, it goes on the road, on trails, wherever....it's silly fun, kinda wish I had done that earlier... ;)

It seems like just playing with tire pressure can tweak one's ride close to "perfection" (define at the moment as fun) , rendering the design, geometry and material of the frame sorta immaterial.

Mind you, fat tires running on low pressure don't necessitate slowness.

Depends on the rider. With me, they do. But then so do skinny tires running on high pressure and everything in between. But skinny tires at high pressure at least gives me the illusion of movement.

I've been running 35 mm at about 70 psi recently. They ain't slow on the road.

Nice ride. Plush, fast, and still hook up in the dirt.

My Pasela 32 mm tires are in the mail right now, winging their way to Virginia. I sort of wish I had gone to the bigger 35 mm, but I'm not sure about clearance yet. (The new long reach brakes are in the mail, too.) I'm looking forward to my first mixed-media ride this weekend - a combo paved road, dirt road, and deer trail ride in horsey Middleburg, VA. And it will be fun to pop curbs with no worries, too!

Have you taken them out on Barton Creek yet, Weisan-brother?
