I may not be spending time riding
But in the spirit of the Wright Brothers
My eldest learned to fly a four line kite
At age 5 and we flew together with some
Synchronized flying...it’s been a decade
Since we’ve been out. I’m here to meet her physiology
Students after spending a semester
Bringing a clinical correlation to her
Anatomy and physiology class.
She asked me to bring her kite...
Pretty fun day:)
I’m hoping to do some mountain biking with my pal in Millbrae
The next couple days...perhaps more to come!

Fine products made by my friends and neighbors Joe & Dave Hadzicki in Poway California.

I've known them about 30 years now and they've always got something interesting brewing in their shop. Fun to watch them kite skating down the street behind/under their power kites. (And between the power lines!) On composite skateboards of course. One of several projects I've collaborated with them on in the past.

Good products and good guys! And although they've gotten bigger over the years they've never really grown up!

My daughter just got skates
In the mail and is planning on doing some traction kiting
In the outer sunset area...
Great fun and super nice to know
About the great people that have inspired us
to such fun along the way!
Thank you

A “Rev Rider”? (Pilot - I know it’s a 1.5)

Very cool!

I used to compete in Quadline with a Rev but Indoor was the most fun.

Skyrider on this forum was a top 3 in Master Class at the AKA Nationals.

There is s huge kite flying community in CA - check the American Kitefliers Association website for local club and events. Usually, there is a lot of flying at Berkeley.

Go Giants! Similar visit with my son in LA recently. We caught the Giants at Dodger stadium.

I used to dodge the kites like that riding my bike through Marina Green in the 90’s.

You betcha.

I’m not sure if there is anything left in cyberspace but if you look up Air Crackers Kite Team you will find me in there. We trophied at National years ago in Seaside, Oregon.

Haven’t flown much in years but I still have all my Revs as well as my team kites (I will never part with sponsor given stuff) plus a couple of “licensed” Revs I made myself.

We thought about entering competitions
Years ago but never did...the precision
And beauty of the flying always pretty much
Astounded me...to trophy at Nationals
Must have been an absolutely awesome experience!
Glory days for sure!
Any photos?!?
Who knows maybe you’ll stretch
Out the lines and give it a go again...
Kind of like riding a bike, right!?!

Great trip to the Bay Area!
The kids loved the clinical correlation
And now I’m sporting the Burton HS Pumas gear proudly.
I borrowed my friends mountain bike
As he was under the weather
Recovering from a ride in Moab over the weekend.
I was able to get out for 25 mile rides each day,
7-10 miles of hiking with my daughter after school
And even attended the Warriors/Rockets game
Last night.

Where is the lab? (I'm glad you corrected the thread title; I kept trying to think of recommendations for kite flying and mountain biking locations.)
