A couple of weeks ago on my ride down to the shop my Tupperware©®™ full of lentil soup opened up in my messenger bag. :crap:

Among other things my wallet was ruined, and I need to pick up something pretty quick; I’m tired of trying’ to keep track of everything. However I’m very picky about such things...

I’m about to pull the trigger on a Barantani from Sierra Trading Post (I’ve got a gift cert), but thought my forum pals might have some interesting suggestions...

Approx $50 (If I paid much more I wouldn't have a reason to carry one)
Prefer single fold
Unique
Room for Plenty O’Cards (I carry more than I should in my wallet)
Quality item built to last

Leslie gave me a lovely Tumi that still looks new two years later.

My Amity single-fold is not that special, but it sure has lasted. I got it before graduating from high school, which means probably around 1978. It's now on its last legs, but I intend to use it for at least another two years...

Duct tape wallets are de rigueur down here. Check out http://www.beckybot.com/gallery/wallets2.html

One of my sons entrepenourial buds makes 'em in camo duct tape to sell at school. Does quite well...

Filson, might as well have the best. Go with the single fold all leather.

Is this gonna be a Costanza style wallet?

I'm not quite that bad ;) ...

Thanks for the suggestions thus far. I've always lusted (unsuccessfully) after a piece of Filson clothing... Their packer wallet looks about right for what I'm after. If I could only find one for 1/2 price...

I've otten Dulth Trading for years and never thought about their wallet, very nice, and closer to the budget than the FIL$ON.

I've made about a dozen Duct-Tape wallets for friends, fun projects but always end up to thick to sit on...

The wife and wee pale one got me one of these for Christmas. Very well made and it looks great. Thanks for pointing it out Sir Bradford!

One word: Coach

High quality leather. High quality construction. Worth every one of the many pennies it cost. I have had my current one 10 years and it is holding up fine.

duct tape is the solution. Put photocopies of ID and insurance inside. I also hacked up pieces of FedEx envelope and stored some pieces as tire boots.
