Upgrade path for Shimano 5600

My wife has a 2007 Jamis Quest with Shimano 5600 10 speed, and the parts are showing their age. It has inexplicably an FSA 175 crank (55cm frame), which a bike fitter called out as too long, so the cranks have to be replaced. It has Easton Circuit 9/10 wheels.

I don't really want to put any more money into older 105 parts for it, so I'm considering Tiagra 4700. If it weren't for the 10s Easton rear wheel limitation, I'd convert it to 11sp 105 in a heartbeat.
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on the fiscally conservative conversion path? Shimano or SRAM are fine as far as I'm concerned.

New Tiagra looks really good can't go wrong with it. If your wife rides a 55cm bike then 175mm doesn't seem that long especially considering women have longer legs than men also more flexible. How tall is she?

If you're willing to use the 11-34 cassette, you can upgrade to a medium cage 105 R7000 group and the 11-34 cassette works on on the older freehub.

Are the shifters/derailleurs still functioning well? New crank/chainrings, cassette, and chain would go a long way for just a little money.

Oh yeah that's right, the newest 105 11 - 34 cassetes works with 10s freehubs. the last cog is depressed since the diameter is so large so they were able to do it. Highly recommend R7000 105. The quality is so high for an entry grouppo. airexpress.com has them for $380 + shipping for the whole set.

just a thought that if the rest of the bike is showing it's age after 12 years, what is the condition of the wheels? Nothing makes a bike feel like new again like a set of new wheels, so maybe it's time to replace those too and go all in on 11-sp?

Agreed, that 5600 stuff was bullet proof especially those external cable shifters. Why not just update wheels (11 speed can be 10 as well), update crank, new cables/housing, new chain, new cassette if needed, and call it done.

Used 5800 is an immense deal. As others said 11-34 fits 10s wheels.

Thanks all for the 105 11-34 advice, that I think is the way to go.
The Circuit's are in really good shape, lightly ridden, though I think tubeless is in her future.

not specifically the same seller but i've ordered stuff from airexpress before. it takes about 1 to 3 weeks to get your stuff i guess that's the only downside of it. the stuff I ordered before were delivered to me with no issue.

A lot of Aliexpress stuff is fake, but this Shimano stuff probably isn't.

Don't think it's even profitable to make fakes for lower end components like 105. also these seems to be OEM parts without retail packaging, which is a plus for me since I don't like creating waste and Shimano stuff always comes really well packaged for even something small.
