Anyone have a recommendation for donating used cycling clothing? I know there was an organization years ago accepting donations for cyclists in Africa but I can't find any info now. I'd love to donate the stuff to a high school cycling team or a cyclists in a developing country if possible.

Don’t know if they would accept clothing, but Phoenix Bikes here in the DC area is a great place to donate used equipment for your folks getting into cycling.

In northern Delaware, a couple of community cooperatives have donation programs that provide bikes to those in need, in addition to their other initiatives. I have met individuals from both groups and they appear to be genuine in their interest to perpetuate safe cycling in the area.

You're from Clearwater, right? Last two Christmas's, we collected gear and sent it to Africa. We will probably do it again this year too. The drop off spot was Chainwheel Drive in Clearwater.

I'm in St Pete. I'd actually like to get rid of the stuff now so if there's going to be a collection in the near future please let me know.

Bernard is the real deal.

We gave him a bike (loads of them actually) back in 1995 and one of his kids won the worlds in his age group on it in Jamaica. So great!

I think he gets fairly good corp. donations these days but you can always ask.

Good for you for thinking this way. Cheers
