Retro and modern at the same time.

How does it work? Is that a second, smaller cog I see inboard of the chain?

no Dave- just one cog

how the hub works is very simple actually but sorta hard to explain- you almost have to see on in person-

then you say- d@mn- why didnt I think of that

Sweet bike! I can't go ss myself where I live, but I love the simplicity of the setup on an otherwise tachnical frame. The color combo it still tops.

Gorgeous, sleek, elegant, distilled down to the basics. I love the honey colored saddle and bar tape; it warms up the whole thing.

It's beautiful, and to enhance the thread, you've used a quote from "The Jerk!" Oh, and not "The Jerk" who used to/currently occupies this forum.

Man what a drag seeing the house in disrepair... I mention that because I have to tear the walls out of a bathroom and re-do the whole schmear. The house was built with drywall in the bathrooms. I have removed the drywall out of one BR and replaced with greenrock. Time to do it again. I am not looking forward to it.

BTW, nice bike. Dadgum those brake levers are way out there :>)

take it easy.

My guy likes the Hardi-backer. Seems like a better option for bathrooms imhueo.

imhueo = in my humble un-educated opinion.

I know James will disagree with you:

Man what a drag seeing the house in disrepair...

with that bike leaning on the wall like that... I'd say the work is done.

One small problem with that DKS... never can quite tell by looking between the legs what gear you're in.

Ok- here we go

Dave Kirk- daddy likes- thats great in such a sick and twisted way- thanks

Dekonick- fixed

Ginger- I NEVER stop tearing my house apart and putting it back together

Simon Q- handbuilts are the only way to go

toaster- Fixed Gear Gallary- they wont like the bike- it looks like a road bike and has brakes- not hipseter enought for that crowd- though maybe I post it to irritate them- :D

davids- Cinelli 66 and Brooks tape

L84diner- house is torn apart by choice- its a sickness I have

manet- you speak from experience I see- cant wait to start piecing my hardwood floor back together- about one more week- the wood is in my house now-

BTW - If you weren't my hero, I'd call you a dork for having a rear brake. ;)

but if you look closely- there are no brake pads in the rear brakes- so that has to count for something- no?

that's slick! i built up my wife's wheel with an eno hub. i like em and i think they're actually less of a pain than track forks... esp. if you're riding with a tight rear tire/seat tube clearance and your chain is short. actually, i think i kinda like the HC better fixed than regular.

how many bikes do you have now? wanna buy a 50 cm merckx? maybe your kid could ride it... like when he's nine.

chakatrain

classic beauty.

I saw another HC recently and thought of this bike. Very elegant.
