Brought my commuter in for some service. New bar tape and a rear wheel rebuild. Picked up the bike today with the new tape picked out by one of the shop owners and a new Velocity Aero rim. Additionally, the mechanic completely rebuilt the rear hub and change the hub body to a 36 hole version for additional strength. So I ended up with a completely new rear wheel. A new Vittoria Randonneur Pro was installed as the other tire was worn down to the red puncture resistant strip. Went to pay and was simply told "Happy Holidays". Local bike shops <insert smiling emoticon>.
