I'm redressing my main squeeze with a recovered saddle, new cables, and leather bar tape - all white (frame is an icy blue).

I'm fairly set on swapping my black campy hoods for white.

Dave, loving the variations on the white/black themes. While I'm a fan of white hoods/tape/saddle I can play in the white hoods/black tape sandbox as well. (while the brand starts with an "S," has double "Ts," an "E," and an "A" Wheel of Fortune still doesn't get you to Serotta:))

No way I would go for white, but then again I don't have a fancy road bike that stays on pavement and would stay clean.

Funny you should mention that--the hoods, tape, and saddle all went on at the same time, and have worn at very different rates. They've all got several thousand miles on them at this point, and the white has held up much better than I expected.

I worried about the hoods and and the tape wearing out rapidly, but they have not--particularly the wrap (Fizik) which just wipes clean every time it gets dirty.

This is clearly just an opinion, but white hoods don't do it for me - they look funny, whether they're brand spanking new and clean, or old and grungy gray.

This. I don't mind white bar tape; just clean it often and replace it as needed. Cheap and easy. Hoods on the other hand are a PITA, at least they are to me, and I don't think cheap as tape. It's black hoods for me.

Ah come on.
Just ride with clean surgical gloves each time out.
Change gloves at the halfway point.
Put a black seat cover on before every ride.
Take it off at the halfway point to show off your white reflective bits.

Fizik white tape doesn’t really get stained - even grease wipes right off.

White hoods make no sense to me either.
