What's the official name for helicopter tape?

I'm trying to get some of them for my new frame but unfortunately i'm in another country right now so putting in translated version of "helicopter tape" in search does not help at all. So what's the real name of those tough unpenetrable bastards?

for information, the Gorilla brand clear tape is pretty excellent for this type of application.

Heating the tape with a blow dryer loosens the adhesive and makes removal much easier.

Dumb question: does the material the paint/clear coat is over matter? Specifically for using something like helicopter tape.
