Hey Gang.
I was ready to pull the trigger on new Chorus shifters, RD and FD at Excel when I read the following from Excel.
“For the best functionality, Campagnolo recommends matching 2015 and newer shifters, derailleurs, bottom bracket cups and cranks. This newest generation of parts will feature a squared letter, which in the case of the shifters, is located on the side of the lever body underneath the hood.”
I’m using a pre 2015 crankset. Will I have a compatibility issue?
Thanks
Dan

good to go Dan. an 11-sp crank is an 11-sp crank as far as campy kit is concerned.

Was there some chainline tweaking with the H11 crankset?

Yeah, I think the H11 chainline is a few (3? 5?) mm further outboard.
I'm running 2011 cranks with 2015+ Chorus other parts, no problems with the older crank.

i betcha i can run any Campagnolo system between the first 8 spd and the current stuff on *any* crank of the same period. in fact, i'm severely tempted to transfer the crank of my '36 Automoto to my Pegoretti and do a youtube clip off it. maybe gcn will sponsor me.

There was to account for 135/142 rear ends but it really means not much..
