Please don't purchase anything anymore from Serotta, Hampsten, Kirk, Vanilla, or Richard Sachs since my midlife crisis is still ahead of me and I don't want you eliminating my options.

and Spectrum! Don't buy anything from Spectrum please.

How 'bout you just buy Postal Treks until I give you the all-clear? Should only be, oh, 15 years or so.

Ok now I know what an Al Capp is: it's a tandem with a Softride beam on the rear.

Some things non-tandemers were just not meant to see...

Shouldn't it be, "Who's an 'Al Capp'"?

You know I once got in a friendly argument with two friends about Andy Cap.
I saw a resemblence that someone had to Andy Cap and pointed it out. The two people I was with at the time had no idea who Andy Cap was. I mentioned the comic and the hot fries. Because the argument was two against one they just argued that "I was nuts" or that "it was something not from the Northeast" and that is why they didn't know of Andy Cap. I went out and bought each of them a bag of hot fries that I had delivered via mail. Never heard back from them about it. Every time I see a bag of hot fries, I think about that episode.

I own a few of those myself...

Trek Y-Foil
Serotta CSI
Serotta Hors Categorie
Colnago Carbonissimo

Funny, all of them are very cool, very wel designed and a couple were ahead of their time....

I find that if any company makes something stock that fits me perfectly and I wouldn't change a thing, they go out of business. Avia shoes fit perfectly, two months later they're gone. I love my Fat Chance Yo Eddy, anybody seen Chris Chance lately??? My first track bike was a Miyata, the next year they pulled out of the american market. I'm working with my agent (SteveP) to get Specialized, Trek and Cannondale to pay me $100,000 per year NOT to buy their bikes...

unicasi is the pocket fisherman sled, no?

makes sense they discontinue, they should just offer s&s option with their frames that are compatible and sell the "travel kit" with it

That should be telling you something. The cycling business is a tough business that is driven by innovation, fierce competition and globalization. In this market, mediocre and poor selling frames are quickly disgarded and replaced by more competitive frame designs. The serotta csi is one of the latest victims of this cut throat competition. There are obvious winners out there like the Colnago C50, the Look 585 and Seven Axiom. You just need to do more research when making your frame purchases. There are many choices out there. But, most of what is available now will be long forgotten 5 years from now.
