I'm considering getting a pair of Panaracer 28 mm Gravel King road tires. They'll be going on my 23mm HED Belgium C2 wheels.

Has anybody else used this combo? Just wondering if they are easy or hard to mount.

I can mount 25mm Veloflex Masters without levers so hoping no superhuman strength needed for the Gravel Kings.

Haven't used the Belgiums or any other HED rim, but I've been rolling 28 GKs for a while on a variety of rims (DTSwiss, Mavic, Kinlin, Stans...). I generally find they mount up without tire levers.

I realize that only half of your combo is only half an answer...

I've put Gravel King 28s and 32s on my HED belgiums. I don't remember it being more difficult than any other new tire.

Did they end up measuring to a true 32 or are they a bit more plump?

Not sure honestly, I'm not too particular about stuff like that. I don't even own calipers!:eek::eek::eek: Yikes.

Don't have those rims but I have Gravel King 32s and they don't seem like a tire that's hard to mount.

Again, not Belgiums, but my 32 GKs measured 31.8mm on 23mm internal rims.

Hey Danny. I have this exact combo and no issues mounting. Especially after the tires have been inflated and have stretched.
