Looking to purchase a set of Reynolds Assault SLGs as I continue to convert all of my bikes over to tubeless. (https://reynoldscycling.com/products/assault)

Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the Reynolds-branded hubs that come with these wheels? I know Reynolds used to sell their wheelsets with DT240 internals, but has that changed? If they have changed, how do they compare to the DT240s that they replaced?

Thanks in advance!

My friends use Assaults and Attacks for the past 4 years without any problems. The heaviest guy is about 170lbs (5’11”)

I have some reynolds hub Strikes for a few years, and they have been trouble free.
They are sealed bearing hubs so you can replace the cartridge bearings if there were an issue with them.
I don't know if they are rebranded dt240s

Another fan, mine are older. My only issue was a bad free hub bearing. Easily sourced, easily changed.
I'm not sure if they have any left but $900.....

I really like rhe 2 sets of reynolds I curently have (ATR650 amd AR41) and liked the attacks I had. Never have had problems with the hubs or the wheels for that matter, very solid.

thanks all! I had a pair of the attacks 5-6 years ago and they were excellent, but they had DT240 hubs. Sounds like their own branded hubs are decent enough as well.

I ended up buying a pair of the 2018 Assaults through mybikeshop.com for $889 + free shipping.

Comes with tubeless valves, rim tape, skewers and their cryoblue brake pads. They also come with the Reynolds lifetime warranty.

For a tubeless-compatible carbon clincher wheelset from a big(ger) brand, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal out there. Not a bad way to start a Monday!
