of course I read all I could find on the google and there are some not great vids and explains about synchronizing and even RTFM. Either I have a bad one or not great at following directions.

Anyone?

Another vw electronics issue [emoji849]

Had multiple problems with my key fob until it failed. And then magically started working after 2 weeks when I brought it into the dealer to look at. Then failed again. Traded in that POS.

I would try a new battery first. Hope you bought an extended warranty.

I bought a used BMW- When I tried the spare key fob it didn't work.
When I investigated further, there were no "guts" inside the spare key fob???

That's the one you give to your teenage son when he asks to drive the bimmer. It's a feature, not a bug.

I have an 2015 Audi, there is a third key, basically a blank pod with key in it. I put the pod in the ignition and it works but cannot be used remotely. You pull key out of it and manually lock doors

They sell a lot of used fobs, way cheaper than the dealer. Also there are after market fobs that can be programmed to work, at least for my Ford.

Good Luck
