Serotta CXII Track Bike

Just received a 50cm Serotta CXII Track frameset off of Ebay and its 52cm mate is still up for sale. Have seen three of these track frames that are all black except for the Ford blue lower rear stays, no drilled rear bridge, and have silver logos. This fork is a F3 - not sure of the rake. Has a metal Serotta head-badge with 1972 at the bottom. The serial number is CX2 50 26 - a production frame. Does anybody have an idea why or who the frames were made for? The two tone paint would have been a team upgrade or promo deal maybe?? thanks for any new knowledge, 87beemer

Post a photo? And what part of the country did the frames come from? I had a 50 cm frame I sold some years ago. They weren't bad frames, not the best handling but reasonable, and some of them had glitches like erratic tire clearance issues.

I've been eyeing the 52cm myself... had not given any thought to anything you've brought up, however!
