We received this Eisentrout frame (Massive 67cm st c-t, 57.5 tt c-c) from a donor and we have no idea when it was built, what kind of steel...anything. Was seeing if anyone on Paceline could enlighten.
Serial number 75L420 stamped on bb shell

The Limiteds were a lower-cost alternative to the model A custom frames. They were a production run mostly made by Bruce Gordon, IIRC.

What makes it seem like an Eisentraut?

The Limited is Eisentraut's attempt at making a production bike:

Good Luck!

I’d say mid 70s.

And what everyone said. Lower cost production frame blah blah

Good Luck!

The frame in this photo is actually mine. I'd uploaded photos of it years ago and Classic Rendezvous stumbled onto them. It was built in '76 and was originally a light ice blue color. I had it repainted by Cycle Art 20+ years ago to the darker color you see in the photo. Honestly, I like the original color better.

The seat tube decal in the photo in the upper right is a good clue.

Do you work at a co-op? I'd be interested in possibly buying that frame.

Thanks!

That's incredible! I was wondering who this came from after Westminster! Paceline keeps delivering with its collective knowledge and community.
