I'm looking for that small plastic piece that connects the front cage to the rear cage of the front derailleur on a Record 11 front derailleur (2011-2014). See picture attached. Fartherest part of the derailleur on the left, one end is glued to the front carbon plate, the other screwed to the back aluminum plate.
Ideally you have a record or super record 11 front derailleur that is nonoperational and this small plastic piece is still usable.
Does this part even have a part number?

No, it doesn't have a part number and can't be bought separately.
I broke that same part last week and started a thread in the 'General Discussion' section, where you can find OldPotato's knowledge and some other opinions too. The thread is just a day or two old.
I'm planning to try making a piece from wire and epoxy, and will keep an eye out for a broken FD with a donor cage.

Thanks for tip. Yeah, I just bought the darn thing from a reputable online seller, new old stock, and it came in the original box like that. Like it left the Campy factory without them installing it on there. Very random.
I asked the seller if they had that part laying around, and they don't. It's also the last derailleur of that vintage they had. I'm seriously considering just returning the derailleur and finding another whole one instead. It may take a while to find a parts derailleur.

Oh yeah, if it came to me NOS and promised as a functional derailleur I would return it. There are MacGyver solutions for a broken one but it’s a tough fix if that piece is completely missing, short of buying a broken one.

Agreed. They offered a partial refund if I kept it or a full refund if returned. At first I thought it may not be to hard to find a parts derailleur, but after further consideration, the unit is heading back. Thanks all.

Geez..return it..I'll 'bet' they cannilbalized the wee part for another derailleur.
Get a chorus front der..2014 or older. Works fine with 8s-11s...

I have a perfect condition Super Record in the classifieds right now. Was trying to sell it with the rear derailleur but I can separate.
