SOLD -- HEADED TO CALIFORNIA via iBOBbers..

-------------------

Decided against adding another roadie build right now..

L'avecaise Bicycle by Jeff Lyon.

Seat tube 60cm c-c, top tube 59cm c-c, head tube 190mm, seat angle 73, head angle 72.5, fork rake 50mm, chainstay 42cm c-c.
Sachs "Richie-Issimo" lugs.
Chris King 1" threadless headset.

Could be Pego-richie tubing, not sure, and don't want to bug Jeff.

Tires shown are 27mm Tubulars.

Appears to be built for standard-reach brakes for 700c - could be 650b w long-reach.

Frame was treated w framesaver, but there's some surface bubbling at the rear brake stop. It's a powder coat finish I believe.

Sold for $550 shipped.

Post/stem available for extra.

As usual, great frameset/price from you and it’d fit me. One of these days the timing will work out.

I like to think that Clean39T's sitting at the rotating buffet of bicycling, choosing what's his fancy at the moment, experiencing it and moving on. That's the way to do it.

Alas, I will need to wait until MZilliox is done with his.

I hate you clean small ring.

Such nice bicycle frames/bicycles. Why must you tempt me so?

Clean pal is the best bicycle dealer on the planet.

More of a non-profit re-home'r of unique bits and bobs that I stumble on, fiddle with, restore a bit, and send on their way.

I should probably build this one and ride it a bit - I'm curious how close it is to the Boulder Road Sport I had - and maybe I still will...

Too small for you I expect - otherwise I'd send it your way just for fun. You could throw the silver group on it off that other one and see what you think. But I'd expect you (like me) would need a 130 stem on here to get the reach right, and that may not set up the right balance to truly enjoy the way it was built.

NTTAWWT - but for some reason I'm thinking that for a bike with less drop, a 120 should give the right proportions if the reach is the same (meaning longer front-center to adjust for the shorter stem and a bit longer rear-center to match the front).

And on a gravel rig, 110 or 100 may even be better for me. But that almost guarantees a custom since no gravel rigs I know of (save for the BMC MCD) come with a 60cm plus top-tube. The one complaint I have about my Parlee is the balance seems a little off due to me running the longer stem and having to be over the back a bit more than I'd like - if they had an XXL version, that'd be better.

This is next-level prince-and-the-pea stuff, but you know, that's how I roll.

Ergo, I think this bike is more perfect for someone with a bit shorter torso/arms than me.

Saddle at 78.5cm, -6x100mm stem w spacers underneath, yields around 1.5cm drop, and 54.5-55cm nose-to-bar reach w centered saddle on setback post as shown.

Thanks Aaron, even a phenomenal deal requires a rider of the proper dimensions to have room in their garage and wallet ... just is what it is ... and unfortunately I may have to resort to eBay to find that rider ...

UPDATE :: Looks like it is SOLD - and without resorting to the Bay thankfully :)
