Looking for some silver clincher rims for a couple of wheel builds that are preferably ~450g or less and sub $80/each. I'm specifically after 28h and 32h drillings.

Most of the Kinlin catalog fits the bill, but for some reason, BHS, who seems to be the main supplier stateside, is super low on inventory currently, and a silver finish seems to be scarce in general. Before I go down the rabbit hole of de-anodizing some of those, does anyone know of something that may fit the bill out of the box? Polished Archetypes are about the closest I have found, but just a bit beefer that I was ideally looking for. Thanks in advance!

they may be a bit porky, but since they are so strong, and you are using a higher spoke count, you can go with very light spokes on TB14's if you like. I havent weighted them, but this set is pretty darn light, highly reliable and rides beautifully. built with lazer's all but DS rear. highly recommend. nice finish too, and can be had pretty inexpensively. i've built a bunch of sets, and the rims are always round, true and flat right out of the box, which makes for an easy build.

I have the TB14's with Ultegra hubs on my Mondonico. I have taken them on plenty of really bad roads and gravel and they are still in perfect shape.

Also tres-sexy!

I've got a set of Pacenti SL23 (v2 I think) laced to Miche 28h hubs that I like pretty well.

If you are interested in a complete wheelset, I could gather some pictures for you. http://i.imgur.com/nCDa5Qxh.jpg

I have multiple sets of Archetype rims - they're really great! Stiff, even with lower spoke counts. Quick to build up. Rarely need truing. Nice, wide profile for the tires. The grey anodized also looks great with both black and silver cockpit parts.

I wouldn't really call them 'beefy' with regards to weight - only 20g more each than the Belgium C2 (which costs twice as much), and miles lower failure rate than the Pacenti options, for example.

My TB14 ano brake tracks are semi-worn. Not worn out, but you can tell there's been brakes on em

Still the best ride since the Campy Omega XLs
