hello.

i have just purchased these brakes used. seller was upfront in disclosing one of the adjuster bolts is missing.

i see this style bolt for sale everywhere. does anyone know, aesthetics aside if it will fit?

or where i can find one of the original jobbers for not a ton of money?

If the common one fits and you can't find the original style I think two of the new ones will look and work just fine.

Yes, the style with the round nut should fit and work just fine.

The original style (black nut with arms) is also available for about $30 each from various retailers.

The round nut version is only about $15. So for $15 you can have a mismatched set, or for $30 you can have a matched set (by either getting 2 round nut versions or one armed nut version).

Kind of pricey, but available.

And I think those work better than the circular one. The circular ones look cool but at a stop light the ones pictured are great.

This is the kind of bike bit that someone with modern machine tools should be able to make some money manufacturing. Other parts that I'd like to see are DT cable adjusters (or just the bosses to allow use of generic adjusters), crank arm caps, and various other small Campagnolo parts that aren't available.

That's an interesting thought, but probably not practical. To re-manufacture exact copies, there might be some IP issues - especially if the Campagnolo logos are used. Besides which, many of these small parts are still available NOS (I know that crank arm dust caps are), and some of them are still available through standard retail channels - including the DT cable adjusters and brake cable adjusters mentioned.

More aero too:)

BUT a dab of oil on the threads helps loads to keep them from 'bonding', the threaded parts.
