What are some of the better frame refinishers on the east coast or mid west.
I have a powder coated frame that I would like to have stripped down a a new powder cat applied. I may also go with a wet finnish but PC seems to be a bit more durable.

Bilenky is adding couplers and recoating my Jeff Lyon Lavecaise gravel bike. their prices seem pretty reasonable for powder, and they have some experience:cool:

Maybe too far KC Kansas - but they are highly thought of, but no first hand experience.

I have had pretty good luck with local PC shops if you don't need a high dollar finish.

I had my De Rosa here for touch up work and very happy with it. Looks like he focuses more on refinishing rather than complete paint jobs, but worth looking into. In Chicago.

+100 for chestercycles. Duane does a great job, and will have refinished 3 of my bikes and painted a fourth. First-rate work and a great guy to work with.

I was going to post...

Duane is hanging up the full paint side of things and only doing repair going forward. I just read that on Facebook. He said he'd take on a few full paint jobs but that's it.

Too bad but he said he can't take the toxins any longer.

One of the best anywhere happens to be central/east.

It's all wet paint, not powder. The results speak for themselves though.

Velocolour is amazing and you benefit from the strong us exchange rate. Not cheap but the work never disappoints. But if you want powder you'll probably be fine with a local guy.
