You would think that with their very low cost labor they would break down components into groups i.e. chains and just recycle the metal.
With all say chains being nearly the same steel it should be easy to just melt and reuse metal for a new chain

Haha, I was wondering this too. Humans are so wasteful. The worst part is all of these bikes look to be the exact same so no one is going to want to rummage through them to find some nice bikes worth refurbishing.
