I'm in Cupertino and looking for someone to (re)lace a couple wheels. Any recommendations for someone local to this area?

If Walnut Creek isn't too far Rich at Rivendell does good work.

No direct experience but Silva Cycles in Campbell would be my first bet. Really solid team, cool bikes, great mechanics, I'd bet good wheels too!

Adam at Oakland Service Course builds wheels. Not super convenient for you, but might be easier than having to mail. He is flexible on appointments, so you can set a time that works for you.

If you are willing to mail, OldPotatoe has you covered.

Tom at Velo Tech in Palo Alto can lace up good wheelset.

Yep, OP would be the guy if I didn't have to ship both ways.

Nice, thanks for the suggestions. I almost never get to Walnut Creek or Oakland so somewhere closer will be ideal.

These both sound like good options. I work in Palo Alto so that would be convenient, too. Thanks!

Tom at Velotech or Christian at Menlo Velo have both built wheels for me. Can't go wrong with either one.

i have a wheel that was built up at black mountain cycles which is solid as a rock. so add them to the list!

Damn, Cupertino is WAY south. Yeah, some of our suggestions are useless for you. Sorry bro!

I had a good set of wheels built up by Juan at Cupertino Bikes on foothill. Doug at Dolce Velo built a nice set for the GF’s bike as well.

Tahn at Silva is also good, but he’s sometimes running a bit of a backlog.

That would qualify as the North Bay to some folks :)

Ha.. beat me to it. I was going to suggest Cupertino bike shop as well. Seems like lacing wheels'd be up Vance's alley. Not sure about their expertise/workmanship but seems like a likely place to explore.
