Hi,
Does anyone have any thoughts or info regarding this wheel set. I'm quite new to Campy, and will be building a new frame with Record 12. To keep the theme light (ish), I am looking at these wheels. I have run a set of Fulcrum Racing Zeros for quite some time on one of my Gaulzettis...comparisons to the Fulcrums and or opinions in general are most welcome;)

If you're just running clinchers, I'd avoid the 2 Way personally and just get the clincher-only version. Way tougher to mount a tire given the tighter tolerances for tubeless.

But if you're going tubeless, then yeah. Great wheels otherwise.

Campagnolo Shamal family of wheels are superb and reliable.

Echo what is stated above. I run a set tubeless on my C50. Love them. Great rolling of course and it was not hard to mount and seal up the tubeless tires. I use 25mm Schwalbe Pro One.

You will not regret your purchase. As far as Fulcrum end of it. I would say they are on par with Fulcrum Racing Zero.

Thanks for the replies. Flash, I will indeed be running them tubeless. I'm sure they are on par if not better than the zeros, and if so, I would be extremely happy.

I have a deep and unhealthy love for my Shamal Milles. They're outstanding wheels.

I have the new two-way Shamals and they are outstanding wheels. Tough, light, smooth...all the good wheel adjectives apply.

Also the best rim braking wheels I got when used with the blue pads. Disc-like stopping power, wet or dry.

Old Potatoe, I did know they were closely related;) Wasn't sure if they were exactly the same. I believe the Mille have that wonderful disc like braking surface, used with blue pads. Do the ultras have that surface and require the blue pads as well?

No, the Ultras have a more common, machined braking surface and you can use any ole pad ya wish..Even the blue ones but not required.
