Hey guys, so right now I have a 11s Athena groupset installed on a vintage bike but want to convert front shifting to downtube shifting, would any downtube shifter work with 11s Campy front derailleur? I assume older chains are wider so the front dt shifter should have more cable pull than the newer 11 speed front derailleurs right?

Should be no problem since there are no indexed dt shifters for the fd.

Pretty much and cable pull isn't that big of an issue. I have put old SR front ders onto modern 11s sets, and even a 2015+ front der onto my rig which is 7s freewheel in the back..

All the way forward for the small ring, all the way backward for the big ring -- how much more indexing could anybody actually want? :)
