Looking for some recommendations for a rider who does mostly gravel.
I was thinking a Spurcycle bell but if he's not on the road much then I don't think it would see much use.
Socks are always an option.

Any other ideas out there?

Thanks!

Gravel rides around here usually mean folks out walking, with and without dogs / kids / etc...
not true where your friend is?

I have spur cycle bells on my bikes, but since getting the waterford up and running again, I found myself short one bell.

I grabbed the spur cycle one off the Ahearne to be replaced with one of these, hopefully arriving in tomorrow's mail...https://tomiicycles.bigcartel.com/product/hammered-brass-bell-gold-stripe-patina-finish

There's also a slightly smaller version.

I need more friend's like you lol...that way I would stop buying all this stuff for myself!

a nice cycling cap is always a welcome gift, IMO.

I'd love someone to buy me a cool saddlebag like this for my gravel bike:

Tubeless sealant, new gravel tires, maybe a night rear blinky light, or a front queue sheet holder if racing is there thing.

Plug kit for tubeless?

+1. I bought the Dynaplug Racer after a teammate had a puncture that wouldn't seal during a race and we both lost a bit of time dealing with it. It's a little spendy at $44 compared to some of the other options, but for something I don't plan to use very often I figure it's a good investment for a lightweight package that fits in my tool roll.

Speaking of tool roll -- the Outvi Possm is made by a company local to me and I've used this tool roll for the past couple years, including two Dirty Kanzas. It gives quick access and I've never had anything shake loose from it, even on some extremely gnarly terrain. The only downside is that things can get muddy but that doesn't really bother me.

Some sort of bag for carrying extra food is always nice. I've used the Revelate Mountain Feedbag in the past, but now I use a top tube bag, although this is entirely a matter of personal preference: https://www.ovejanegrabikepacking.com/collections/top-tube-bags/products/snack-pack-top-tube-bags-large-xl

I'm also a convert to hydration packs on long rides -- 60+ miles. I have a 3-liter camelbak that is good for roughly 4 hours without stopping.

If he doesn't already have it, helicopter tape might be useful.

Curses OP! I specifically opened this thread to post Tegaderm, bacitracin and tubigrip.

I've always liked that Pacific Design Works owl bottle cage.

This little Wolf Tooth tool can be pretty handy.

Wolftooth B-Rad system! You can mount double bottles, bags, tools all sorts of cool configurations if you're out on some desolate gravel.
