that is right, Black Friday is the new xmas but you can actually get deals...

What did you get for BF?

I will start

- Garmin Varia - Finally on sale, I had to get one since I ride mostly by myself in boonies. Its pretty cool.
- Rapha Winter Wind Jersey - Looks warm, will try it tomorrow.
- Rapha Brevet wind jacket - This thing is so light.

I did pretty good, avoided most sales, specially after having to buy a phone and a washing machine yesterday

didn't buy a single item.

had recently purchased a jersey, windbreaker, cap, shoes, socks, and tires...so really didn't need anything.

I did almost get a new car, but decided to hold off. don't think it would have been on sale anyhoo...in fact, sales dude said he didn't think his mgr would discount it off the sticker price. last one in their inventory blah blah...

pay MSRP for wheels? uh nooo...

The Abbey's Crombie & Whip-it set, Castelli Alpha jacket for the GF, a new drill. Still thinking about Rapha bibtights & the Pacenti Wheel amnesty program, although that last one isn't strictly a black friday deal.

I went a bit crazy this year but having been tracking prices all year, I feel it was the best time to buy a number of things for which I had money reserved.

Mostly computer stuff: RTX 2070, a 750W PSU, and a NVMe SSD (all for KILLER prices). And a echo dot to control my cable box. But now I'm trolling for a new 165Hz monitor too. Then Google made the new Pixel 3 effectively half price and I couldn't resist. The AI that goes into the new camera is extremely cool.

I've picked up a number of bikes for winter projects and a nice new jersey, mostly from here. Great transactions as always!

The 7 inch (180)mm) pliers wrench on the right is the one you're likely to use for bike related wrenching. I have three sizes now for various jobs. Knipex is commonly identified by pro bike mechanics as one of their favorites - along with Abbey Tools Crombie, PB Swiss ball end hex keys, Facom and Beta sliding t-handles, Vessel J.I.S. screwdrivers, Wera Hex keys, and a few other branded tools.

Amazing sound, so much so that Mrs. William and I spent much of the weekend just listening to music. Cool to hear works you've heard before but you are now hearing things in them that you haven't heard before.

Not Black friday but yesterday I got a pair of 45NRTH Japanther winter cycling shoes. They are discontinued which seemed to be why they were so marked down at the LBS... just got lucky they had my size.

I haven't gotten to mount the cleats up or try them but I got a smoking deal and they sure seem to fit amazingly well, with or without my thickest socks.

I am pretty psyched to never wear booties again if they work out well.

They say 25F+ but most of the reviews say they're actually good quite a bit colder than that.

I wouldn't say shoes are my limiter for cold weather but 25F is near my low point anyway... it tends to be pretty tough below that.

6. Some sub $100 Citizen Ecodrive watch

7. A Keybar

8. That friggin' Motorola Merckx MX Leader on the classifieds today
