If you're interested, there's new stuff up on the vanilla website. Check out that handlebar/stem combo on track bikes 2 and 3! WOW!!

wow-- you always sort of know how busy sacha is, but its not until you get a whole site makeover PLUS new bikes that you realize the extent. cool cool stuff.

I like the curved seat stays / brake arch on the white road frame. I also dig those beefy chain stays.

The polished stainless lugs are way cool. Some nice paint, too.

The "bike two" in the track frames section belongs to the owner of blacksheep cycles in charlotte (www.blacksheepcycles.com).

I got the honor of looking at it in person this past weekend and it is absolutely fantastic. The lugs, the stem/bar, the post, the color choice, the hubs. ATMO, it is the definition of a track bike.

One day I will have one just like it. In the mean time, just ordered a Kona paddy wagon frame that I'm going to build up and use to commute. Should be fun.

If you are ever in the charlotte area, I HIGHLY recommend checking out blacksheep. He has a 9lb Desalvo track bike, the vanilla, more than 1 nagasawa track bike, along with many many other very cool bikes. It is worth the trip.

I was just telling someone that I didn't "need" any more bikes...
I can throw that thought out the window.

Black Sheep Ethan's Vanilla is a beauty. He's the one that turned me on to Sacha, or at least that was the first Vanilla I saw in person. not a bad first impression.

that poster is phenomenal

I think it's great to see Sacha building complete bikes and creating, in house, things like chainguards, racks, baskets, handlebars, etc, etc

I know the term "constructeur" has been a bit misused lately--is what Sacha's doing somewhat closer to this idea than most--or does he just do it better? I really like ANT as well, with purpose-specific designs and alternative use bikes

I also think it was brilliant the way manet had his bike atmo spec'd--all the way. a bike is, after all, more than a frame. what use is it if someone builds you the perfect frame and you put a bunch of wacky stuff on it the builder didn't consider

I'm I wrong in thinking the above? You cats know a lot more than me

the best thing, imo is the fact that it looks well-ridden (ie Dirt's muddy/snowy Kirk thread)

Understated elegance. I wouldn't call it understated since it's slapping you in the face.

Nobody does Vanilla better than Sacha.

but seriously--I love hearing about coy's exploits too, out there pushing his atmo rig to the limits--or DBRK's tales about motoring around on country bikes
