I’m going to pick up some wireless headphones for use on the trainer and treadmill (as well as winter trail runs). The Jaybird Run seems great, but early reviews complained that they came out of sync. I’m wondering if anyone has recent experience and can speak to whether they resolved that issue?

While I haven't used the jaybirds, reviews are less than stellar. The reviews for the Jabra 65T headphones are about as good as they come for true wireless headphones.

I have not used the jaybird but I am really liking my Bose SoundSport. You can even get them with a heartrate monitor.
Great sound. Also, they have a big controller on it that is easy to use with thin gloves on a big. That is a feature that I realized is very nice to have. And of course they stay in my ears without issue.

I have the jaybirds X something of another and think they are great. For me the biggest issue is the headphone staying in my ears which the apples absolutely do not do. Can’t comment on the runs though.

I borrowed a set of my wife’s “quasi wireless” headphones (I.e., earpieces are wired together). I think they were beats something or other. The wire bouncing around on the back of my neck while running drove me nuts. So I’ve been looking at the truly wireless sort. The Jabra look nice.

Try these for $28.00 and let me know what you think. I've had them for a year and love them. Sync no problem with my iPhone and AppleTV. These stay in your ears very well, i've run with them as well as cycle inside on the trainer. Battery life is OK ~5.5 hours. I like them because they have the volume controls and such on the earbud and not on the wire.

I have a pair I got from Amazon, link below. I spent under $20 on them on some sort of sale but they work reliably and don't fall out. Sweat seems to be no problem, battery life is good, they sound good enough...about as good as I'm willing to spend for something that I could very easily lose or damage.

I had the same problem with my quasi wireless Bluetooth headphones while running. I realized that keeping the wire in front of my neck resolves the problem. Try that next time. If it's long enough, you can tuck it into your shirt collar a bit too to reduce bouncing

I've used mine nearly every day since July. I can count on one hand the number of times one side has dropped, and that only momentarily. I recommend them.

I use the Aukey sometimes walking the dog.
Understand they have great customer service.
Using wireless headset can limit AM/FM radio reception without the cable that acts as an antenna.

I have a pair of Plantronics Backbeat Fit headphones, use them for running, kayaking, working around the house. Never an issue. Good sound, long battery life. They have a microphone, so they can even be used for calls. Voice quality isn't quite as good as music, not sure why, but it's acceptable.
I like the Jaybird X3, at least for what it is. Good clarity, reasonably open, and the app makes it easy enough for me to make some basic modifications; AND it stays pretty well put if I'm on a treadmill, arc-x trainer, etc., or jogging (not sure I'd call it running the way I'm doing it these days). The proprietary charging setup could be more convenient (and more replaceable), but it all works fine and I like the overall package. It's not super easy for me to get a great fit with sports ear buds, and the X3s work well for me.
Sound: I'll stand by good-to-very-good-for-sports/active, especially with the app. I'd rather listen to recorded music over speakers; and if I'm sitting still, paying attention, and listening to headphones, I'll choose different headphones -- I don't have anything really high end, but I have some Grado cans at home and some AKG noise cancelling phones at the office. At 200 bucks or less, for listening itself, I'll reach for something other than the Jaybirds every time. Heck, I'd take the Grado SR60 (not what I have, but I've listened to them plenty), at 80 bucks, in a heartbeat. But for workouts, I've been happy with the Jaybirds. YMMV.
