I can't get used to shimano shifters. They look like &^%$ atmo.

Discovery and LA are a joke. We ( the USA) need another protour team to root for.

He used a 73 (or more) degree stem on his Cérvelo. On the trek his stem goes up. They say that Trek's head tubes are short.

Very handsome!
Nice shoes too.

Aside from that, I'm suspicious of everything.

I want to see a showdown between Basso, Ulrich, Landis and Vino at the tour this year. Now -that- would be an exciting tour. Oh Tyler as well, who has in fact supposedly signed with someone??

If a Pro Tour team like Disco were to sign Ulrich, would they somehow be excluded from the TDF??
As far as a sponsor getting media coverage and attention, I think signing Ulrich would be a great advertising tool!!
Baseball and football still seem to be quite popular in the US, even though all of those 'athletes' dope.

I used to think this guy was great. Now this pic (ugh) is a symbol of what is wrong in pro cycling. Drug testing is mandatory for all jobs these days, but DNA testing is an "invasion of privacy"? C'mon Ivan!

His dog should sue him!

Go CSC!

So I take it that you are privy to the rock solid and unimpeachable evidence gathered during that paragon of investigations known as Operation Puerto?

Fetching water bottles, probably.

(On the other hand, maybe that's Levi's bike!)

. . . on so many levels. I can't get over the feeling that, without stating it out loud, they have made a clear statement of what's most important to them . . . and it's not ethics, reputation, a clean sport, or presenting a united front with the other teams to try to make things better.

Yeah, yeah, I know . . . he's been "cleared" for the moment. But the whole thing still just looks really bad to me, especially combined with Basso's lack of willingness to take the DNA test that would clear him once and for all. It unavoidably makes me wonder what he's hiding.

Looks like his saddle needs to go back and up and that he needs a longer stem. A guy's got to make a living.

I'd rather see a pic of his sister too.

He'd be all over it like white on rice were he not worried about losing his sponsorship and his team.

It does look strange to see him on that bike and in that kit but we will get used to it.

IMO Trek need to hire someone from Europe to make their bikes look stylish. Somehow even their top frames look cheap. The Trek font is even a little dated or wasn't that attractive in the first place. I don't have any bright suggestions but they look neither classsy nor modern.

Agree with earlier comment about Shim levers. I know we are all used to it but there is too much bulk sticking out the top and for 2008 DA they should ditch the anntenae and move to carbon.

The shoes are the Sidi Genius 5.5. I went to a podiatrist who reps several custom shoes and has done shoes/insoles for several Aust Pro Tour riders and he said that for all but the most usnusual foot the Sidi Genius has the best fitting sole and last combo. That's why you see so many pros using the Genuis and Genius 5.5 which are not even Sidi's top of the line shoes.
