The lovely and kind Jonathon Fitz is making me a custom rear rack. I have sent him a silly amount of detail and expectations, and he is happily obliging my whims. However, I have asked for a 50mm mount for a light on this rack. My long-term plan is to use a Schmidt dynamo-powered light (https://nabendynamo.de/en/products/rear-lights/), but this isn't going to happen for a couple years.

Does anyone know of a similar battery-powered light that is available? The only battery-powered rack-mounted rear lights I've been able to find are obnoxiously huge and plastic (Busch and Muller is my best option right now). They really detract from the overall aesthetic of a nicely considered bicycle. Something smaller and made from milled aluminum versus plastic would be wonderful, but I'm not sure such a product exists. If anything with a nicer aesthetic exists, I'd greatly appreciate any guidance.

Best,
Todd

B&M toplight line is battery powered and 50mm spacing.

I have a dynamo powered one and a battery powered one and like them. Not as big and clunky as you would think

the Schmidt rear lights are really bright. Too bad about their headlights.

What jt.... wrote. I also have the dyno variant and it is 100% trouble free and effective ( so far so good).
