I've started the research process for a new bike for the gf -- currently rides rim brakes but essential tremors+limited hand strength+fear of stopping is leading towards hydraulic disk brakes. I know some retrogrouches will sigh, but this is the world we live in.

Looking at Giant's bikes, they're geared up with Conduct braking system...it's basically a hybrid system where brake cables attach to a hydraulic master cylinder mounted on the front stem.

I've got some of my own thoughts --- but would like to hear some other opinions or see if anyone has any experience with it.

Used it on a couple demo/rental bikes. Pretty solid system if you're looking for the combination of cables/hydro.
