It's supposed to rain tomorrow in SoCal and we don't ride in that ish, so the final monument it is. Looks like 630 our time on Eurosport.

Will the new world champ finally get it?

The races this past week have all been so good and it's a really strong field for tomorrow. It's going to be a throw down. I hope the jersey is at the front towards the end.

I hope he does, frankly.
Boooooo this rain. Looks like were breaking from it around 6, so I might be able to ride after the race.

Like to see Alaphillipe personally.

Valverde is....complicated.

He's not on the start list I think. Sucks. I would be rooting for him for sure.

Just saw that. Bummer.

I'll take Benoot as the dark horse.

Hoping for the Garmin duo of Wood and Uran to have a good showing. Wood has been gaining confidence and experience over the past month. Hopefully he can beat Piti this time around.

Not complicated: Anyone but Valverde.

I'll go with "Valverde is an unrepentant doper (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/valverde-i-shouldnt-be-asked-about-operacion-puerto/)." Talented? Undeniably. A negative image for the sport? Yes, IMO.

Benoot, Pinot, Valverde.

Preferably in that order.

How are people watching this?

Eurosport, of course. This climb of the Sormano is brutal. It hurts on the couch

part of the suspense comes from watching with clenched cheeks while watching them descend.

UGH. I misstimed my alarm and only saw the last 5K.

Also, AWESOME THAT LAST 5K.

I love this race, just sad I didnt see more of it. Simultaneously very happy for a very worthy, panache-filled winner.

That was a PRO move by a veteran racer.

Kudos to Pinot. Coming from where he was descending just a couple years ago to this is incredible.

Nibali. What a legend.

That is the move that a kid would come up with. Spend a KM saving some energy as the group closes the gap, and then when they catch me, I'll be fresh and attack them!

No one tries it because it should not work after expending that much energy, but Nibali is in a class all his own.

The race for second was more exciting than 1st. classic.
