Title says it all. I've got a favorite jersey that's started to pill up on the front. Anybody know a way to remove it? Being synthetic, I'm thinking the jersey is toast.

Thanks,
Rich

Just use a sweater shaver

Just take your time so you don’t create a snag.

After using the shaver, always wash the jersey inside-out.

My wife just recommended a disposable razor. Huh. I have an old long sleeve jersey that’s fairly pilled-up. I’ll give it a try and post pics of before and after.

The cheap disposable razor works great too!
Pulled out my old Schwinn Wheaties jersey from 1988 and looks like it’ll get more road time!
Btw, I found shaving at 45 deg. angle to weave worked best. You can see the ‘pills’ that have been shaved in the 2nd image and the nice smooth jersey to the upper-right.
Good luck with yours’!

That looks very good.

Yes, the old razor works, used gently.
Then wash and iron on low heat with another cloth over the jersey fabric, or even turn the jersey inside out.
I only ever wash by hand and dry by air on a hanger, not in the dryer.
