Considering this tape (in gold) since the color seems to match one of the colors on my 'ethnic' Duende: https://supacaz.com/product/bling/

Has anyone been so bold as to opt for this loud statement? I'm looking for feedback on the look, the feel, and keeping it clean.

thanks

It's thick tape, a bit tough to wrap, but feels good to my bare hands - I've only used black though, so I can't comment on keeping it clean..

I've got a few rolls destined for a build. The neon/bright is bright! Great colors in person. The ones I installed went on nicely and their finishing tape is nice and stretchy. Plus they include a set of nice solid end plugs that secure with a hex screw. I like the feel and as Dan mentioned they are cushy. I haven't logged too many miles to comment on the durability.

Their cages are quite nice too.

I'm using the silver bling on my Moots. Nice tape. Easy-ish to wrap.

Will be replacing it shortly. No reason other than a color change.

Depends on the version. Some are very good, some are terrible. All of them are hard to wrap and have the added feature of disintegrating and sticking to your bars in large clumps if you take too long to replace it. My vote is for something else.

If you can do without the blingy colors, PRO Sport Control tape is pretty hard to beat. It's thick, easy to wrap, has a silicone backing so it's easy to remove, and it's cheap. It can be had for $12 in some places.

Supacaz is a company Mike Sinyard started for his son. If you're not a fan of Mike's and the way he does business you may want to look elsewhere.

Well that's quite a bomb. Details?

There had to be a reason Sagan and Bora are allowed to use non-Specialized-branded bartape. Hardly a surprise.

I've heard good things about this tape, but when Fizik is only $15 a roll, why bother with anything else?

I thought that was common knowledge.

Hard to keep clean and not very durable. You'll be hard pressed to find early adopters who are still using it.

I have a pack of gold sitting on my shelf. Had to buy it because both of my bikes have gold accents, just haven't put it on either one yet. Not sure I ever will, but it's fun to look at, lol

The silver is very comfy and solid. No issues whatsoever.

I used two different rolls, and although it is cushy, the grip is terrible when wet. Didn't last long, either. I'd say skip. I like Fizik and 3T..

I tried some bright orange which did not stay bright.

Arundel Synth Gecko is 100% silicone so no adhesive backing so you can reinstall/reuse. Nice grip in all conditions and nice shock absorption due to the material.
