Several of you have mentioned the Route du Nord as being the tubie ne plus.

Problem is, I can't find them for sale anywhere--only the 2007 Platinum models. Any ideas on where I could track down a few?

did you call the guy's at Ital-tecno? I bet if you gave them a buzz they would tell you if its possible. I think they are the only guy's I know of that are "in the know" on stuff like this. Same deal with Ambrosio, they know where and when , or if any are in the country? Try it, if its not gonna happen they can get you a good second choice.

Just talked to Ital-techno and they couldn't help. I've got a friend calling around some shops in Milan for me, so maybe that will prove more helpful.

Got ahold of the Gommitalia factory via a friend in Milan and they want 106euro per tire!! Considering I can buy two Veloflex's for that much I think I'll put that on the "buy when I win the lottery" list. But then again, I think I'd buy Dugasts for all my bikes if I won the lottery :D
