I used to buy Castelli Eveluzione, they were not the best but they worked. I prefer knickers to shorts even in hot Florida weather because the compression and length feels good on my achy knees. Problem is they are no longer in production. Anyone have any ideas on a non-thermal knicker?

Thanks

Really was hoping someone here had some thoughts....

Castelli does leg warmers (though not really the right term) with SPF 50 protection for this sorta thing now. I think Pearl Izumi does the same. Maybe that's the best solution?

I used some specialized ones that seemed fairly nice. Not any more but I did wear them regularly in the winter, instead of knee warmers

I'm pretty sure PBS will have them. Nashbar should too

Castelli Nanoflex?

Sugoi does/did

All my knickers are stowed. Ask again in a month or so when the cooler weather gets here

Thanks for the responses.

First neither PBS or Nashbar have any Mens Knickers

I did check Castelli, they have the Evoluzione II, but now its thermal. I checked Sugoi, same thing all thermal. But I went and checked and Giordana makes some non-thermal knickers, little pricey, but I am on the hunt.

I hear what you are saying, but the truth is they dont stay in place and they bunch up. The beauty of the knicker is that its just longer shorts and they dont suffer from the same limitations. I found that Giordana actually makes some non-thermal knickers, for the reasons I want them (compression and warmth), R&A has them at 209, but they are back ordered, Competitive has them at 224

Gonna get some and try them out.

What size do you wear?

I have a pair of Exte Ondo knickers that I never wear....maybe once, but they are a little too big for me. I'm 6'-2" / 180 lbs / 34" waist....(OK, 35" waist)

Shoot me a PM if interested....

I have a couple pair of Nalini, which I think is pretty comparable to Castelli.

Happened to buy them from Cento Cycling, which is currently selling Santini (again, similar to Castelli). https://centocycling.com/products/gara-2-0-lycra-cycling-bib-knickers-git-chamois-made-in-italy-by-santini

I love these from Rapha: https://www.rapha.cc/rd/en/shop/pro-team-shadow-knee-warmers/product/SWN01XXBLK

Not overly warm... AMAZING grippers... I have skinny legs, and they are THE BEST!

I'm also pretty skinny and the Pearl Izumi knickers (in Medium) have been performing really well for two seasons so far.

Make that almost three years, this picture is that old!

This looks like a good idea for my indoor work outs. I always find that knee sleeves of any kind tend to bunch up and then I am messing with it during my ride which is not good. That said it appears to be a good product that I will try.

I am going to call Boure today, they offer "custom sizing" and I am going to see if they will make their thermal knickers with the regular bib short material instead.

Thanks
