I ride with three other guys who wear boa style shoes, and they love them. Two guys on Specialized, one Diadora. For a noodle-foot like myself, which boa-style shoe is the snuggest? For reference, I wear a 44.5 in the old Sidi Genius. I have not tried Sidi's recent offerings, but have heard they are a touch larger.

thanks!

Fizik R3B shoes were pretty narrow for me. And I have narrow feet.

I just got some Sidi Carbon Wire (for speedplay cleat) on ebay, and they are quite narrow. In fact, I'm trying to widen them a bit. Otherwise, very nice shoes, and lengthwise seem right. They use their own boa-like system, better than the boa-Specialized shoes I had a while back.

I have the M3...Fizik is my new go-to shoe. The older M3 and R3 are made in Italy...the heels are just a skosh big, though.

Would you say the sizing is pretty close? 44.5 in Fizik is a 44.5 in Sidi or thereabouts?

Mavic has historically had some of the narrowest shoes out there.

I desperately wanted these to work but they were way too narrow for me.

I have no first hand knowledge but I've heard the opposite about Mavic.

I have narrow feet as well, especially the heel and ankle, and was a long time Sidi user. I've since switched to Gaerne and really wish I would have done it sooner. The Gaerne have by far the best heel hold of any bike shoe I've tried.

Might depend on the shoe, but the last Mavics I tried were the Zxellium (maybe 2014) and they were incredibly narrow, and I normally use a Sidi.

As for Fizik, unless they've changed recently, I found to fit bigger/wider than a Sidi.

Still an early prototype, but they are looking good.

I wear 1/2 size smaller in Fizik. YMMV
