Anyone know if anyone makes a 12 speed link for a campagnolo chain?

SRAM has that link for their 12 speed Eagle stuff. No idea if that would work, but have used their 11 speed links on 11 speed Campy chains with no issue.

Short of sacrilege for even asking. Don't tell me that they are still on that wonky peening thing with a a $100 tool

How does Campy even suggest installing a 12 spd chain? Get the feeling I will never see one

Still peening. Still works fine. Putting in a pin isn't rocket science.

Most likely, an 11 speed link will work adequately. Measure the width across the inner links, at the pin hole. If the width is no more than .004 inch narrower on the 12 speed, it should work OK. I've used 10 speed links with 11 speed for thousands of miles, with no problems.

With 12 speed I can't say that I'm a fan of the concept

Tool cost?

Still peening. Still works fine. Putting in a pin isn't rocket science.

Probably easier and definitely much cheaper to buy an entire KMC or SRAM 12 speed chain that includes a link than to buy a Campy link tool.

Semi-unrelated: but the single biggest advantage to 11sp; in my book is the ability to run cheap Shimano cassettes/wheels inwidely available ranges with otherwise campy drive trains. Campy everything; Ultegra cassettes and kmc chains is how I like to roll. 12 now negates all that simplicity.

I won’t be making the swap to 12 until this is all smoothed out.

And many chain tools out there that work great that aren't big $..

sram/KMC 12s chains anywhere from about $35 to $80+..Pedro's tool that does all widths(including 12s and Campag peening) is about $40...:)

Here's a link to a 4-pack. Seems reasonable. If the links fit properly, you should be able to insert a .004 inch feeler gage between the inner and outer links. If you can get a .008+ feeler between the links, then it's a sloppy fit. I just checked my wipperman 10, used on Campy 11 and it's got .012 inch clearance, so it's plenty sloppy, but never caused a problem yet.
