Looks to be in nice shape. I am a Campagnolo fan but only in the last 10 years. Fit is perfect for me and its in perfect shape. Full Record group including hubs. I didnt pay attention to 9 or 10 speed and dont know the seatpost buy may be campagnolo as well.
Thoughts? I am looking to buy local but dont want to overpay.
How is the older Record group?
Still serviceable? I have newer Chorus and Potenza and like it alot.

ooof, i envy you.

i am a total sucker for those pantani paint bianchis. with record no less, oye!

i'd personally happily pay 800 or so for the frame, and easily 4-500 for the record group, wheels and finishing kit, so i say that's a 12-1400 dollar bike, all day.

older spec record is fantastic and bulletproof. it's hard to kill and that kit looks to be in decent shape.

IMO

Seatpost looks like Campy from here, see if it's the ti one. Those are nice.

If it is to your taste, and you have the money -- I think Angry's figure is about right. Personally, I think it's beautiful -- if it were my size, and if I were shopping, I'd be fighting you for it.

+1... 1000-1200 tops... more than that is way too much.

Not that bianchi made only 2 of those you know, you have to factor that is a frame that probably is over 12 years old, in 12 years stuff lose value.

Nice find man, hope the guy selling it doesnt want mickey mouse numbers, because thats what usually happens with that bike in particular.

If the group is 10 speed, yes you can service that, no problem.

Which model is this? I had a Mega Pro L version of the Pantani Bianchi, which was aluminum. I think they also made a boron version during this period.

You'll want to replace that one bottle cage, though.

I would guess, based on the model, that is 9 speed. 8 and 9 speed Record is good stuff. I have a Pantani Carrera and get the attraction of a bike like that. It is probably worth $1200 to someone who will use it as a #1 ride but I think that is too much with the market like it is these days (sluggish).I think $800 is more the mark and if you really want it, $1000 should easily get it.

Nice bike and group, but it’s a buyers market. I’d say anywhere between $800 to $1,000 is more than fair for this one.

I'd go 1200-1300 if it's in top shape. Looks like 9S to me with the silver RD and smaller diameter front hub. Oldpotatoe can rebuild the shifters if they have any issues, hubs will go forever if properly adjusted.
Seatpost is Ti, trust me. Worth 125-150 if it isn't gouged or crimped. :)

Lightweight frame, there can be structural issues. Do your research before signing up.

That's a cool bike. What is the fork? If it's 9-speed and you want 10 speed can't Old Potato do the modification to go from 9 to 10?

I have to be honest i never been into bianchi too much, actually i owned one for 2 days that I did not even took for a spin, bought it to ride in bad weather... and the guy who sold it gave my number to another guy who wanted it badly, he did not stop calling me, easy comes, easy go...

But my fav bianchi ever had been the x4, and the boron one, actually I stumped into one of those borons once, guy wanted tons of dough and was not even close in condition to the one the OP bought?

I wouldn't pay more than 1k for that unless the components are in top shape.

Yes, that's the boron one. It went XL aluminum ( which is what Pantani used, scary light with thin walled alum you could squeeze with 2 fingers), then Mega Pro L ( normal thickness alum), then this boron. As for value, I'd say the frameset is worth $500, record group is $450-$500, and if that's a Ti chorus or record post, another $150. So complete, $1100 is a good deal.

Looks to be 9s..1999....Campag still makes 9s cogsets, use any 9s chain(like KMC). Chainrings readily available(Campag or TA). Lever innards easily serviced and parts readily available(I can OVH these easily).
Levers easy to upgrade to 10s( I have the bits)..then just need 10s cogset and chain.
Cables and housing pretty standard Campag fair..you can use a 11s cable kit. Hubs use standard bearing balls/cart bearings in freehub body..nothing unique. BB is a 102mm Campag unit..Chorus level still easily found but Phil Wood makes one also.

This thing is like new. Has one small mark on a seat stay and zero wear or abuse. Full Campagnolo Record including the headset and Ti seatpost. Hubs are Record laced to Campagnolo rims. I am putting on some tires and giving it a full grease and wash. Its a very nice bike.

This should be a nice rider. Needs a bigger cog on the rear but other than that. Its nice. This Record group shifts awesome.
Oh, that stem has to go as well. Blah.......

Is the saddle is a little off-alignment from the top tube?

Looks like a score. Enjoy the heck out of it.

(Aside; ignore at will: iconic or not, I've never liked the celeste/yellow color combination. Just not my thing, I guess.)

I’m also not a big fan of the Pantini - celeste with yellow, but if you’re going to have it...might as well finish it off with the right stem.
