Good Morning! Since I sold my last road bike I’ve been doing nothing but mountain biking. But with a 14mo old at home my wife has been giving me the evil eye when I tell her I’m leaving for 6 hours to do a high alpine ride because I don’t like riding in the front range. So back to getting a road bike again where I can ride out the front door and be back soon for diaper duty.

I’ve been out of the roadie game for a while and nothing carbon interests me. There is a local brand called Alchemy who seem to make great carbon bikes and I may check them out. But there is a Cinelli Nemo Tig in my size that may be available locally that I’m interested in. There’s not much out there when I do a google search. So, I was wondering if anyone here has any knowledge on how it would ride.

those looks sweet...but way overpriced considering what you could get in the custom world for the same money. grab it if you can get it on the cheap but otherwise go talk to alchemy, they make nice stuff.

It’s used with Super Record and Boras for a little over 3k. The only steel bikes I’ve ever had have come from Surly, so I’m curious how a higher end steel bike rides. I’m definitely going to checkout this weekend.

wonder if there would be much of a difference between the Cinelli Nemo Tig ($3000 USD?) and the Marinoni Piuma Supreme ($1300 USD)

That Marinoni looks nice.

Haha this is why I try to stay from this place. Let the analysis paralysis begin!

I know a guy with a sweet Mark Nobilette in Louisville.

Do you ride a 55-ish?

I’ve been watching these for a while and was originally drawn to the purple one. And literally almost pulled the plug on the Sky Blue one a few weeks back.

The UK prices on the frame set are very competitive for a Spirit tubed, made in Italy frame. I looked at a lot of the custom builders and they were considerably more.

Peloton just ran an article about this one....

If you're impatient and have the cash, that Cinelli looks like it'd be a very enjoyable ride. But otherwise, hang out around here a little while and something miraculous will drop into your lap, probably at half the price or less.

Put a different set of tires on your mountain bike in the meantime and rip up the roads in your neighborhood, and when you get on a roadracer all your familiar places will feel like you're suddenly Superman.

Sorry to derail, but I've often wondered about this seller. Have you bought from them? They come up on my searches for the deals often.

Personally, no--but I know a number of people on Paceline have. They are reputable AFAIK.

I rode the Peloton test bike. It was a very nice frame and the ride was terrific.

Take a look at Blacksmith Cycles page...there are more than a few steel options, some with custom geometry that are close in price

Thanks all. It was a size small and I went over the geo numbers and I could of made it work for short rides but I wasn’t willing to compromise all day comfort.

It’s at the The Pros Closet in Boulder if anyone else is interested.

Soooo....I went with a Cannondale SuperSix Highmod with Dura Ace instead. Bike really impressed me on an extended test ride and I’m happy with it.

But I’ll always be a dirty hairy legged mountain biker at heart
