Just read CK FINALLY came out with an integrated-style headset called the Drop Set. About time! $125 for steel bearings, a whopping $245 for ceramic.

Let me be the first to say "Ceramic for $245? Excellent!!"

No judgment here, but why would ceramic bearings in a headset matter? You don’t turn your wheel/fork/bar more then 90 degrees and even then you wouldn’t be riding while doing it. Even if you are on a mtb doing jumps and tricks the bearings wouldn’t be under that much load at the time.

Nothing more then just bling and bragging rights????

Nothing more then just bling and bragging rights????I must agree, which is why I went with stainless steel. The ceramic option is $245! Simply not necessary...pointless.

Maybe it's pointless to run ceramic headset bearings, but it's cool and that's worth it to some people. Our passion for cycling doesn't have to make sense to anyone but ourselves.
