I really don't think they were trying to come off as impromptu? It's a short story haha

This is clearly a comedic video.

Ever read "A Walk in the Woods"?

I must have ADD, could not watch the whole thing. Two guys weaving all over the road talking about their feelings. I just could not relate. :p

I did a bit of digging to try and figure out what climb that was. No luck. Any ideas?

Put me in the camp of "started watching, stopped before the 2 min mark." Didn't feel it was going anywhere that had any meaning for me.

... and you were right. At least IMO.

Was a bit surprised to see credits at the end, actually.

Man, tough crowd in here. I thought I had a short attention span, between the ADHD, handheld devices, and social media. Reset your expectations a bit, maybe?

It's a short film. It's a story about two people that happens to be based on bicycles. It was also filmed in a single tracking shot, and from both filmmaking and storytelling perspectives, quite well done, IMO.

That was great! Funny as hell. I wish there were more "short stories" like that. Great way to kill 8 minutes of my day.

You just knew that he would hit him with the $20 water bottle.

That cadence was painful to watch. Even the "experienced" guy's was way to slow

I would've done a bugs bunny (or Family Guy) thing and pushed the jackass into oncoming traffic! (ok - I wouldn't have done that but I was wondering)

The experienced guy says he's only been doing it for a couple months at the beginning, but I think when you're riding with someone slower than you and you're not working too hard, it's easier to ride with them at a slower cadence. My takeaway was that for a big guy that was out of shape, he climbed really well! I thought it was funny, but a little annoying that the guy was in the middle of the road waving the cars through - just move over a little!

I kept thinking that this is definitely a conversation I wouldn’t want to have when rock climbing.

Good points. More positive and observant than mine.

Haha, "Belay off!"
