Do these shifters work properly with this rear derailleur? Both are 10 speed.

10 speed is compatible win any combination of models and years. 11 have their exceptions.

OK, it looks like the OP got his answer. So may be I can piggy back on this thread?! :)

I just picked up a new frame and want to put on Campy Chorus 11 mechanical. However, I'm considering using the Potenza 11 shifters because they have the "dog-ear" thumb button like the e-shifters and I find this new type of shifter interesting.

So the question is will the Potenza 11 shifters work with Chorus or Record 11 mid-cage RD? In other words, are all current Campy 11 mechanical groups compatible with each other so that you can mix a Potenza shifter with Chorus/Record RD and say Centaur FD?

The Potenza 11 shifters are only about 20g heavier than Chorus and supposedly ultra shifts (i.e., multiple shifts up and down). The only downside might be that the Potenza 11 front shifter is index versus the ratching motion of the SR/Record/Chorus shifters.

Appreciate the help!

All Potenza shifters use PowerShift (only one sprocket at a time when moving to smaller sprockets). Only Chorus and Record/Super Record use UltraShift (multiple sprockets at a time in both directions)

Potenza 11spd shifters are 100% compatible with all pre-2015 11spd derailleurs. 2015 and later Chorus and Record shifters/derailleurs have a modified derailleur/shifter travel, although they will work to some degree with pre-2015 shifters/derailleurs.

The "dog eared" thumb buttons you refer to are only found on PowerShift (one sprocket at a time when moving to smaller sprocket) mechanical shifters, and EPS electronic shifters.

I also like the droopy buttons so it will all come to, do you want ultrashift and spend more $$$$ or are you ok with powershift and droopy buttons

According to the 2012 Campagnolo Technical manual, that combination is incompatible.
In 2011 Campagnolo changed the parallelogram geometry of their 10 speed deraillers, and altered the cable pull of the Ergopower levers to match.
In practice, you can probably make them work together acceptably.

Thanks. That's a good chart, too bad it's 6-7 years old! I know Campy made some changes to the RD in 2014 or 2015 and Potenza didn't come out until 2016-17. So something newer would probably be more useful.

Good Luck!

It’s the chart that is relevant to the OP’s question.
What more do you need?

Also not really accurate..2010 Ultrashift works just fine with 2011/12/13 SR/Rec/Chorus rear der, as an example. I've also used a SR(2009-2014) rear ders with otherwise 2008 and older Record..no issue. The only real gotcha is trying to use a pre 2009, 10s, rear der with 2009+ 11s shifters or using a older front der with the 'positional' Powershift shifters...which were derived from Xenon innards..that really doesn't work. BUT, I learned a long time ago, regardless of what the company says, try it, you may be surprised..for Campagnolo OR shimano.

Not correct.
There are exceptions.

Ditto 11s.

Thanks for posting that. If I'm interpreting correctly it means there's a disconnect between 10 speed groups 2010 vs. later.

Re-read Oldpotato’s posts above. Former owner of a campy pro shop with tons of real world experience with this exact thing. Few people in North America have his experience and knowledge with campy.

Many thanks for the nice words and in lots of cases, ya gotta try it. Like first gen Powershift in 10s(2010/11) and last gen 10s rear der(2008 and older) works fine. 10s Der changed in 2012..but still works with Powershift from 201/11. Generally speaking, newer rear ders work with older shifters..regardless of 'speed..I have used a 2011 11s rear der with 2008 Record shifters, worked great.
