Don't know if this has been talked about and/or covered yet.

But this article talks about today's Stage 6 TDF stage and Dan Martin's New Jersey:

https://www.velonews.com/2018/07/bikes-and-tech/dan-martins-tour-jersey-is-missing-one-small-detail_472175

Is this all marketing hype "Champion System took feedback from team riders who, by and large, did not want to have a zipper on the front of their kits."

I'm calling BS on this. I'm in Texas, hotter than the tour, but I'm riding in 102 degree heat everyday. I don't know how well these breath, but I find it hard to believe it would be better than pulling the zipper down....

Feels like Champion Systems wrote this article....what do you guys think?

You're asking this on Paceline?

Everything new sucks.

But it is not new, is it?
It's a running shirt! YAY!

But with pockets in the back, so that you could stuff wild blueberries inside it on your morning trail run. :)

Makes a lot of sense for aerodynamics and fit. Moreso for skinsuits-style two piece

maybe this will bring back the 1/4 zip

with no zipper, the riders also don't have to remember to zip up when crossing the finishline for the sponsor-shot!

I only buy full-zip jerseys, but never unzip them on rides.

Recent research by Rapha revealed that jersey zippers act as "compression strings" to keep the beer belly tucked in.
